Lecture:Types of Technology used on Construction Projects in the US
Speaker:Dr. Daphene Koch
Time:11:00 – 12:00 June 12th
Venue: room 408, Tongji Building A
Abstract
This talk includes integrating the 3D BIM model from design into the construction phase of the project to include 4D Scheduling, 5D Cost, 6D Sustainability and 7D Facility Management. An example will be shown to model how this is being used on projects. Other current technology examples, including augmented Reality to use as visualization for a construction project, drones to assist supervisors during construction and identify problems during building occupancy, and smart hardhats and smart tools for safety and productivity will also be discussed.
